I'll explain where things went awry: We were on the second cycle and while initially impressed with the graphics the saving proved horrendous when they couldn't be arsed to incorporate it into the time-travel animation as the original does. One can suppose this and that inexpiable lag is ignorable however it goes beyond ridiculous when revealed that unlike OoT/MM this is an emulation of Majora's Mask not an adaptation!
Yes that's right - apparently the developers admit they did a lousy job of transferring the classic N64 title over and various inconsistencies persist in the audio. Before we even get into the MM introduction screen we get this * warning* during loading. Hooray we're greeted by yet another cheesy menu virtually identical to that one on Ocarina of Time/Master Quest but nevertheless, the improved frame rate and tantalisingly sharp display lured both us suckers in.
Recently my sister asked if she can play Majora's Mask of course I agree to however since the visuals and resolution on the Nintendo 64 leaves a lot to be desired I quickly get out that game and pop it into the GameCube. Upon first impression it was a compilation of four video games including a shameless promotion of TWW and disappointedly lacking ALttP, LA & Oracles - if it claims to be a collector's disc then shouldn't it actually have all the Zelda games? ¬.¬ Anyway it was on special offer, but back then I really couldn't be bothered to play it nor did I ever ask my friend how he found it ( big mistake). Right, I originally bought the Collector's disc ages ago in GAME. Seeing how no one else's posted anything about dealing with this awful mess I've decided to spread the word. You've probably guessed what's offended me by now, yeah it's that The Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition disc that was available on the defunct Gamecube. Now in all fairness you may be thinking " *sigh* What on earths happened to Ricky now?" well, allow me to answer that question by giving you a rhetorical one instead: "WHY Nintendo, did you make such a shitty collection of Zelda games ever to grace the gaming world?"
